agent 3When you are in the market (ha ha, forgive the slight pun) for a real estate agent, your best bet is to look for a successful one. Check around the neighborhoods you are interested in, and see which real estate agents seem to have had the most success with selling homes in that area. Typically, there were will two or three agents who are doing a lot of the selling — and closing — in the area.

Another sure sign of a successful real estate agent is the number of houses he or she has listed; the more listings, the better. For that matter, real estate agents who have full page ads also tend to be more successful.

Naturally, you want the most successful real estate agent you can find. For that reason, sorry to say, you may want to stay away from agents who only do the job on a part time basis.

To be perfectly honest, if you are relocating – it is really hard.  Not just because you have to pack up and move, but most of the time, you are going to be relocating out of state and if you are not familiar with the state that you are moving too … that can make it ten times worse!  This is why I have developed some tips and tricks for you to follow if you are trying to find the perfect place out of state.

One of the first things that you need to do is wherever your office is based out of – you want to look at the cities and towns near it.  Go ahead and compile a list of the neighborhoods and cities you might want to live in that are around your office and then start on your research.

This will narrow down exactly where you are going to be looking for, so this should logically be the very first step!
