You can make sure you are looking at accredited institutions by talking to your area’s Real Estate Association or your state’s Professional Licensing Commission.

There are also certain tests you have to take in order to become a real estate agent — specifically, you have to prove that you are familiar with all the laws governing the practice. Other requirements are also necessary: you have to be eighteen, at least in some places, while in others you have to be twenty one. You also have to have at least a high school education. agent-1Becoming a real estate agent is not as hard as it may first seem. True, it does take dedication and hard work, not to mention an attention to detail, but it is possible — more than possible.

Before undertaking it, however, you need to be sure about yourself. You have to commit to having patience, to working hard, and to becoming motivated and self assured. Good communication skills are always a plus, and if you have the gift of persuasion, then more so the better.

Be determined to honing those skills — you can learn them even if you do not have them naturally. Just think about enrolling in some classes. Interpersonal communications courses or even courses devoted to developing your personality in some way are excellent choices.

In the real estate business, being self motivated can be a very formidable tool. It will serve you quite well.

All of the fees that are paid to the real estate agent have to go through the broker, so there really is no money that is passing the hands of the real estate agent themselves, keep that in mind.  Only the real estate broker can pay the real estate agent their commissions and they sign a listing agreement with you, the seller.

Real estate fees and commissions honestly vary throughout the world, so it really depends and you definitely have to do your research on that one
